Abstract
The enquiry has been well received by those who answered within the relatively short deadline given. There were no negative remarks. The result of the analysis of the 23 respondents so far is plausible and with regard to certain proposals highly interesting. The overwhelming ranking of social inequity as a German and community wide problem area lends strong support to a new poverty and health programme in the EU. With the likely exception of Evidence Based Medicine as a newcomer the second to tenth issue confirm the priorities of the CEU, however infectious diseases rank much lower than expected as does migration.
