Abstract

Magnetotransport measurements of Y 1− x Pr x Ba 2Cu 3O 7− δ ( x=0, 0.13, 0.2, 0.32, and 0.42) single crystals reveal two regimes in the pseudogap region for the x⩾0.20 samples, with a crossover at a temperature T cr( x). For T c< T< T cr, there is a vortex-like response in magnetoresistivity. For T> T cr, the results are consistent with the picture in which the origin of the pseudogap is the nearly antiferromagnetic Fermi liquid renormalized by strong superconducting fluctuations.
