Abstract
Magnetoresistance measurements on three sintered FeCr spinels up to H = 14.5 koe show clear peaks at the Curie points T c . It is suggested that this effect is associated with Jahn-Teller lattice distortions and possibly with a non Néel spin configuration leading to large spin disorder at T c .
