Abstract

Angular-dependence measurements on the magnetoresistance of pure Cd, Cd-Ag and Cd-In alloys with solute concentrations of the order 25 ppmw and less over the temperature range 1.4 K to 10 K in fields up to 23 kG confirm the anisotropic temperature dependence for field directions in the (11 0 ) plane. Evidence is obtained that inter-sheet scattering does not seem to affect the magnetoresistance in the basal plane.
