Abstract

Plasmonics of Au nanostructures are studied theoretically using Mie’s formalism in the presence of static external magnetic field. Optical constants such as extinction coefficient is found to be dependent on external environment of Au nanoparticles. Absorption spectrum depends on strength of static external magnetic field. It is shown with the help of simulations that resonant wavelength is shifting to lower values (blueshift) with increase in strength of magnetic field.
