Abstract

It is seen that many techniques are employed for heat transfer enhancement as well as lot more heat transfer enhancement techniques are under research. Techniques involving magnetism and magnetic force are also observed to be helpful in heat transfer enhancement. Now a days heat transfer enhancement is the primary goal of researchers in heat transfer field hence by using magnetic techniques heat transfer enhancement can be achieved. In this work, different intensities of magnets are used on the different liquid refrigerant flow and investigation of performance of split air conditioning system is done under different loading conditions. From the results of this research work it has been seen that, when refrigerant flow is exposed to the strong magnetic field the heat transfer in condenser and evaporator of Air conditioning system enhanced and energy consumption in compressor decreases which leads to improvement in COP of the Air conditioning system.
