Abstract

The paper presents a few physical properties of magnetic fluids usable for sensors construction and some magnetofluidic sensors based on these properties. The effects of the gradient force of magnetic field on the free surface of magnetic fluid and on the principle of magnetofluidic spectrometry are analysed. The mobility of magnetic fluids usable as magnetic core is analysed in order to illustrate the possibility to use this effect for construction of new types of sensors.
