Abstract

Magnetic field penetration and dynamics of plasma components under magnetic pressure are studied. Plasma ions with the highest Z/M turn out to move ahead of the centrum of mass and transfer the frozen-in magnetic field together with accompanying electrons. Problems of both nonlinear magnetic field diffusion in plasmas and of magnetic field redistribution in a thin shell accelerated by magnetic pressure are considered.
