Abstract
The properties of the trivalent praseodymium ion in the Pr 2Fe 14B compound have been analyzed within a single-ion Hamiltonian. Values for the macro- and micro-scopic parameters of the praseodynium anisotropy at 4.2 K have been derived from magnetization experiments.
