Abstract

Abstract Magnetic domain structures in Sm 11 Mn x Co 89− x ( x =20; 30) and Sm 13 Mn x Co 87− x ( x =10; 15; 20; 25) compunds were studied using the powder pattern method. The domain wall energy was determined from analysis of domain structure patterns and compared with other models. The following intrinsic magnetic material parameters of the studied magnets were determined: domain wall width δ B , critical single-domain radius D c and exchange constant A .
