Abstract

1. It was shown magnetochemically that in NiO-TiO2 catalysts, containing 5.04–33.83% NiO, and ignited at 430°, reaction between the Ni2+ ions is small and they are found in the octahedral cavities of the highly dispersed NiTiO3 phase. 2. In catalysts containing 59 and 80% NiO there appears a substantial amount of the free NiO phase, and reaction between the Ni2+ ions increases. 3. The ignition of the investigated samples at 600–900° leads to the appearance of intense EPR signals from the Ni2+ ions in the octahedral cavities of the NiTiO3 lattice, which is associated with its ordering due to crystallization.
