Abstract

In this paper we theoretically study the magnetocaloric effect and the barocaloric effect in the compound Mn ( As 0.7 Sb 0.3 ) . We calculate the magnetocaloric potentials Δ S and Δ T ad under applied pressure and the barocaloric ones [ Δ S ] B and [ Δ T ad ] B at constant magnetic field. Our calculations show that the magnetocaloric potentials and the barocaloric potentials in the studied compound exhibit large values in a wide range of temperatures.
