Abstract
The authors consider perpendicular transport in a 'superlattice' miniband in the presence of an electric field perpendicular and a magnetic field parallel to the layers, in the framework of a one-band tight-binding model. Using the transfer matrix technique they derive rigorous asymptotic results for the one-dimensional resistance in the presence of diagonal and off-diagonal disorder. They deduce field-dependent localisation lengths and predict oscillatory magnetoresistance.
