Abstract

The magnetization properties of grain-oriented silicon steel sheets under bending stress are not a simple combination of the properties due to tensile stress on the convex side and compressive stress on the concave side. Domain structures on both sides are different from the structure of independent stress of tension or compression alone. Magnetostrictions on both sides are measured and the interaction between magnetization properties on both sides is explained partly.
