Abstract
Magnetization processes were investigated in bias-sputtered amorphous Gd-Co films with a compensation line using the polar Kerr effect. The results suggest that the compensation line is an energetically favourable place for the domain wall. Near the compensation line the domain wall movement shows asymmetry.
