Abstract

The Monte Carlo simulation as an effective method has been applied to analyze the magnetization plateaus behaviors of a nano-graphene bilayer structure in a longitudinal magnetic field. The influences of the single-ion anisotropies, the exchange couplings and temperature on the magnetization plateaus have been discussed. We find that the single-ion anisotropies, the exchange couplings and the external magnetic field play important role in magnetization plateaus behaviors and spin configurations. Multiple magnetization plateaus have been found, originating from the competition among different physical parameters. Furthermore, the effects of the single-ion anisotropies and the exchange couplings on the magnetization and the internal energy of the system have been examined in the presence of the external magnetic field.
