Abstract

AbstractMeasurements of magnetization and magnetostrictive changes of the length were carried out on a plastically deformed cobalt single crystal at low magnetic fields. The results are in good agreement with theoretical calculations by Kronmüller et al. [1]. From this it is concluded that the magnetization processes within the closure structure of ferromagnetic domains at the crystal surface have no noticeable influence on the magnetization compared with the processes in the crystal volume.
