Abstract

Described magnetic-dipole applicator for magnetic nanotherapy based on the utilization of nanoparticles Fe3O4 loaded with anticancer drug doxorubicin and guided towards the tumor site to selectively destroy it in conjunction with inhomogeneous electromagnetic excitation. In the research of animals with Walker256 carcinosarcoma was shown, that local electromagnetic irradiation by spatially inhomogeneous constant magnetic and alternating electromagnetic fields had a greater antitumor effect as compared to conventional doxorubicin and magnetic nanocomplex without electromagnetic irradiation.
