Abstract
Typical appearance of quadrupolar splitting in zero-field Gd NMR spectra is presented for GdIr 2 and GdAl 2. The splitting varies with temperature roughly as the square of magnetization in GdAl 2. Its analysis may become an additional source of information on electronic structure of intermetallics.
