Abstract
Highly oriented superconductors YBa 2Cu 3O 7 including Y 2BaCuO 5 phase were prepared by a melt-textured growth method. The temperature and magnetic field dependences of the magnetic torque were measured, and the critical current density, which is evaluated using a critical state model, is improved by the presence of (211) inclusions as the pinning centers.
