Abstract

Polycrystalline samples of CeAuIn, ErAuIn and ErNiIn have been prepared and studied by powder neutron diffraction measurements. For CeAuIn antiferromagnetic ordering is reported, while for CeNiIn there is no long-range magnetic ordering above 1.5 K. ErAuIn compound was found to be an antiferromagnet with the triangular magnetic structure in plane, while ErNiIn compound exhibits the ferromagnetic ordering with magnetic moment parallel to the c-axis. Ordering temperatures are T N=6 K for CeAuIn, T N=3 K for ErAuIn and T C=9 K for ErNiIn.
