Abstract

The crystallographic and magnetic structures of polycrystalline FeCo 1.5Ti 0.5O 4 was investigated by means of neutron diffraction in the temperature range 293–500 K. Neutron diffraction patterns have revealed that the Ti 4+ ions occupy the B-sites in the spinel structure. The magnetic structure of this compound is a Néel ferrimagnet with sublattice magnetic moments of m(A) = (3.40±0.2) μ B and m(B) = (5.19±0.2) μ B per molecule at room temperature.
