Abstract

The specific heat and the parallel magnetic susceptibility of a single crystal of FeF 2 have been measured in the temperature interval 68–90 K. The magnetic specific heat data can be fitted to the equation C m / R = A( T − T N )/ T N | − ga + B over a large temperature range. Fisher's relation, C m R ≈ K∂ (χ 11T) ∂T , is found to be poorly satisfied.
