Abstract
Measurements of the Mössbauer effect and neutron diffraction in CsMnFeF 6 are reported. Whereas Mössbauer effect shows a hyperfine splitting below 26K, neutron diffraction shows no magnetic Bragg peaks. However, neutron diffraction shows the presence of strong short range order which is prominent even in the room temperature diffraction pattern.
