Abstract

The shielding effects of the composite of superconducting bulk are studied and described in this paper. The authors measure the shielding effect of layers of YBa2Cu3O7-y superconductor. The experimental and numerical studies prove the effectiveness of the concept, especially the importance of the spatial distance between the shielding layers. Moreover, on the basis of these experiments, authors proposed to use powdered superconductor as new magnetic shielding material. Using powdered superconductor, magnetic shielding materials can be formed into required style and density.
