Abstract

Pd nanoparticle (Pd NP) immobilized on the magnetic Se and N dual‐doped carbon support was easily fabricated through thermal pyrolysis of glucose, selenium dioxide (SeO2), ammonium chloride (NH4Cl), and Fe3O4 hybridization and followed by chemical reductive reaction. After the successful characterization of prepared Se‐mCN/Fe3O4/Pd by using the various physicochemical techniques, it was used as the heterogeneous magnetic catalyst in the Heck‐cross coupling reaction. The utilization of cost‐effective biomass, high specific surface area, high product conversion, generality in diverse derivative conversion, simple separation process, and four runs reusability are some of the Se‐mCN/Fe3O4/Pd benefits.
