Abstract

The magnetization measurements of the Gd3Ni single crystal are presented. Below the ordering temperature, TN=100 K, the field dependence of the magnetization, measured along three basic symmetry axes, exhibit one or two magnetic transitions associated with ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic components of the complex magnetic structure. The anomalous behavior in paramagnetic range of temperatures is, probably, related with field induced magnetic ordering and appearance of magnetic moments of nickel atoms.
