Abstract

Abstract The magnetic properties of nanocrystalline Fe–Co–Cu–M–Si–B alloys (M: Nb, Zr) annealed without or under a magnetic field have been studied. The Nb-containing alloys and the Zr-containing alloys showed similar dependence of magnetic properties on Co content. The induced magnetic anisotropy constant K u for nanocrystalline Fe 78.8− x Co x Cu 0.6 M 2.6 Si 9 B 9 alloys (M: Nb, Zr) showed maximum values at the same Co content, x =70. However, K u for the Nb-containing alloys at x =70 was larger than that for the Zr-containing alloy. The alloys containing 70 at.% Co, annealed under a transverse magnetic field, showed good properties at high frequencies.
