Abstract

Magnetization measurements are made on a single crystal of ferromagnetic MnZnSb from 4.2 K to 325 K in order to determine the uniaxial anisotropy constant K1. The easy and hard directions of magnetization are c-axis and c-plane, respectively. The saturation moment and K1 extrapolated to 0 K are 1.5 µB and 6.7×106 erg/cm3, respectively.
