Abstract

Magnetic behaviors are reported for 16 heteropoly blue tungstateanions and for their oxidized parent heteropoly complexes (isomorphs of the corresponding blue species). Ten of the reduced species and one of the oxidized ones are new compounds. Each blue complex contained either one or two added «blue» electrons delocalized over numerous W and O atoms of the heteropoly framework. Most of the species contained one or two paramagnetic atoms, substituted and/or tetrahedral sites into the heteropoly frameworks as integral parts thereof
