Abstract

Magnetic properties of Mx TiSe2 with M = Mn, Fe and Co are studied experimentally. Mnx TiSe2 (0 < x ≤ 0.5) and Cox TiSe2 (0 < x ≤ 0.3) exhibited spin glass phases. Fex TiSe2 exhibited spin glass phases for 0 < x ≤ 0.22, reentrant spin glass phases for 0.23 ≤ x ≤ 0.26 and antiferromagnetic phases for 0.28 ≤ x ≤ 0.5 Possibility of explaining the exchange interactions of Fex TiSe2 by the Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yosida (RKKY) interactions is discussed.
