Abstract

Crystalline Ce alloys often exhibit properties which are different from other rare-earth alloys. We wanted to know if a similar tendency was present in amorphous phase Ce alloys. The magnetic properties of such alloys were compared with the results of other rare-earth alloys. The concentration dependence of the Curie temperature of Fe-Ce alloys is similar to that of Fe-Zr and Fe-Ti amorphous alloys. Such properties suggest that Ce is a tretavalent element in Fe-Ce alloys. There is no significant difference in the resistivity of the various alloys used.
