Abstract

For this study, we used the ensemble average projection scheme (EAPS), to numerically calculate the cyclotron resonance line shapes (CRLS) and the cyclotron resonance line widths (CRLW). We analyzed the magnetic field dependence of the CRLW in various cases. The half-widths increased with the magnetic field in CdS while the half-widths showed a maximum of around 3.8 T in GaAs, which may be due to coupling between the Landau levels and the electric structure. We also found that the dominant quantum transition processes of the electron-piezoelectric-phonon interactions were inter-Landau-level transitions between adjacent states, with the eect of intra-Landau-level transitions being weak.
