Abstract

By choosing parameters of production process of magnetic powder core (MPC), it is possible to develop magnetic properties of cores and match them to specific application. This paper shows how the size of granular material can impact the magnetic characteristics of powder cores. Particular attention is paid to high frequency inductance elements, made of nanocrystalline powder, like inductors, chokes and transformers. Advantages of this components are: stable relative permeability pr, low specific power loss P, and possibility to develop a wide range of other magnetic parameters.
