Abstract
Low field magnetic measurements have been made on AlCo alloys between 4.2–180 K. Using magnetic susceptibility and small angle X-ray scattering data simultaneous appearance of a spin glass phase and growth of clusters in the samples could be observed. With increasing amount of Co a phase with mixed spin glass and ferromagnetic properties could be found before transition to the ferromagnetic phase. Influence of thermal treatment on mictomagnetic behaviour of AlCo alloys is briefly discussed.
