Abstract

Single crystals of Co 2V 2O 7 are grown using V 2O 5 as self-flux at a slow cooling rate. Magnetic properties are investigated by means of susceptibility, magnetization, and heat capacity measurements, showing that Co 2V 2O 7 is likely to be a three-dimensional antiferromagnet with two magnetic transitions at low temperature.
