Abstract

As an extension of an earlier paper [1] we choose here a more accurate way of calculating the averaged free energy ƒ of a random ensemble of two-spin clusters in the mean-field-approximation. From ƒ we derive the magnetization M , the susceptibility χ and the specific heat c of the system. We get different results if we calculate χ and c from the magnetization — or the energy-fluctuations, respectively. The differences are discussed.
