Abstract
Fe25A175 alloys synthesized from high-purity elements by means of the low-energy ball milling technique have been characterized by X-ray diffraction, DSC and magnetization measurements. The alloys become amorphous after 600 h of milling. Prolonged milling for up to 800 h results in remarkable reductions in the magnetization and the exchange interaction.
