Abstract

Monte Carlo simulation is extensively utilized to study magnetic properties of the Ising mixed-spin (1-1/2-1) three-layer system of hexagonal structure. The effect of the exchange coupling, correlation parameters, and the single-ion anisotropy on the system compensation and critical temperatures has been explored. A strong correlation between system parameters, compensation, and critical behaviors is revealed. Threshold values of the system parameters are presented, determining whether the system compensation temperature is present or not. The system magnetic hysteresis loops at various temperatures and crystal field values have been described, revealing two-step hysteresis loops.
