Abstract
HoMnFeO 5 obtained from HoMn 2 O 5 by replacing Mn 3 + by Fe 3 + . The study of the crystallographic structure indicates that HoMnFeO 5 is orthorhombic, Pbam space group. The magnetic measurements and the neutron diffraction experiments show that HoMnFeO 5 is ferrimagnetic, with T C ≈ 153 K . The Ho 3 + ions seem to present a frustrated magnetic order.
