Abstract

The effective field theory within a probability distribution technique that accounts for the self spin correlation functions is used to study the magnetic properties of the ferromagnetic or ferrimagnetic bilayer (A–B) system described by the S = 1 2 and S = 3 2 (with the anisotropy D in the sublattice B) Ising model. The thermal behaviors of magnetizations, the magnetic hysteresis loops and longitudinal susceptibility are examined in detail.
