Abstract

Structural, magnetic properties and domain imaging of Fe70Ga30 films which are deposited at room temperature (RT) and 250°Care studied. GI- XRD confirms crystalline nature for both the films. Room temperature magnetization measurements indicate a decrease in coercivity (HC) and enhanced saturation magnetization (MS) upon thermal treatment. Increase in saturation magnetization is due to larger grain size at higher temperatures. Atomic force microscope imaging (AFM) confirms that all the films are with low roughness less than 1 nm. Magnetic force microscope imaging confirms an enhancement in the domain size with substrate temperature as high as 250°C, which is in correlation with a decrease in coercivity value.
