Abstract
Pressure effects of the magnetic phase transition in DyCo2 were studied by XRD and XMCD. The magnetic transition changes from 1st order to 2nd order in a range of 4–5GPa. The Co K-edge XMCD is insensitive to the pressure, which is interpreted as resulting mainly from the pressure variation of Dy 4f magnetic polarization.
