Abstract

The nuclear and magnetic structure of the polycrystalline double perovskites Sr2−xBaxFeWO6 (x=0.0, 0.33, 0.67, 1.00) have been studied by neutron powder diffraction (NPD). Rietveld analysis of the NPD data shows that the nuclear structures are monoclinic (space group P21/n) for all compounds. A collinear antiferromagnetic ordering of Fe was observed. The magnetic moment decreases with the concentration of Ba at the A-site. The magnetic structure is related to that of nuclear structure by a propagation vector k=(01212).
