Magnetic ordering in TbRh 2− xRu xSi 2 solid solution

Abstract

The results of X-ray, neutron diffraction and magnetometric measurements carried out for a number of compositions in the TbRh 2− x Ru x Si 2 solid solution show that all samples exhibit ThCr 2Si 2 type of crystal structure (space group I4/mmm) and as x increases, the magnetic ordering changes from the AFI type via sine modulated to square modulated structure with propagation vector τ = (0, τ y , 0).
