Abstract

The reversed field method in a time-integrated directional correlation measurement has been used to determine the magnetic moment of the 3 - , 1374 keV level of 182 W. An external magnetic field of 15 kOe has been used for the perturbation of the 179–152 keV cascade of 182 W. The magnetic moment has been obtained to be µ(1374 keV)=+1.74±0.16 n.m. Our measured value of the magnetic moment establishes the 1374 keV level as a member of the K =2 rotation band of 182 W.
