Abstract

In order to prolong the time of the target and improve the efficiency of the proton beam, China intends to build an accelerator driven sub-critical system (ADS). Proton's energy beam transport line is divided into two parts MEBT1 and MEBT2. The two parts total 20 conventional magnets. MEBT1 contains six quadrupole magnets; MEBT2 contains six quadrupole magnets, four stepped field magnets, three correction magnets and a dipole magnet. Holzer measuring platform has completed MEBT1 quadrupole magnet, MEBT2 quadrupole magnet and correction magnet. Based on analyzing the measured results (including the integration field distribution, integrated field distribution, horizontal distribution, excitation efficiency) of these magnets and properly validated indicators of conventional magnets, the results of all conventional magnets meet the design requirements. ©, 2015, Atomic Energy Press.
