Abstract

We investigate the magnetic isolation on a superconducting ground plane (GP) by measuring the mutual inductance between two lines. We evaluate the shielding effect of three structures: a simple flat GP, a GP with a shielding wall, and a GP with a covering layer. The third structure reduces the mutual inductance as much as -13 dB compared with the first one. We also derive an expression of the mutual inductance for the first structure.
