Abstract

For the purpose of revealing higher brain functions of visual and spatial cognition, the authors investigated the neuronal responses to visual stimulation and eye position as the spatial information, through the use of a 37-channel SQUID magnetometer. The main magnetic field responses were observed at 90-120 (M120), 120-170 (M170) and 180-220 (M220) msec after LED onset. The magnetic field responses of M170 was stable and observed in all subjects, and almost the same in 1 and 2 experiments. The estimated current dipole source of these magnetic field responses of M170 was located at deep PAC, near the intraparietal sulcus.
