Abstract
The magnetic field induced reverse martensitic transformation was studied in polycrystalline Ni40Co10Mn41Sn9 with a high martensitic transformation start temperature (Ms, about 410K). The reverse transformation start temperature (As) dropped by about 34K when exposed to a magnetic field of 7T. At room temperature, the microstructure consisted of 14M martensite and γ phase.
